Despite overwhelming public opposition, a majority on the City Council passed a law allowing apartment buildings in residential neighborhoods.

But thanks to YOUR VOICES—and the legal action filed by Englewood One Community and residents – we achieved real results:

NEIGHBORHOODS PROTECTED:

East Hill Synagogue Neighborhood – Brayton and Lincoln Streets

Engle–Booth–Chestnut Streets

West Tryon & Central Avenue

East Palisade Ave.

NEIGHBORHOODS STILL UNDER ATTACK by the Mayor and Councilmembers from Wards 1 & 2:

🚨 Quarles Elementary School area
🚨 Glenwood Rd, Whitewood Rd, Davidson Pl, Englewood Field Club
🚨 West Hudson area
🚨 King Gardens, Englewood Ave, Bennett Rd, Armory, Humphrey & Williams Streets
🚨 Hamilton & Pindle Avenues & Pearl St.
🚨 Lafayette, Wides Corner, Park Ave, Wilbur St, Cottage Pl, Broadway Ave
🚨 Elmore Ave, Liberty School neighborhood
🚨 Mary & Grant Streets & East Forest Ave

No other city in New Jersey has targeted its own residential neighborhoods like this—using overdevelopment as a false solution for affordable housing.

WHY US? WHY NOW?

Join the fight for Common Sense Solutions:

Comply with affordable housing mandates without destroying neighborhoods.

Eliminate all high-density zoning in residential areas to preserve quality of life.

Protect King Gardens residents from displacement by removing high density apartment zoning.

Revitalize our economy, reduce taxes, and improve services—without sacrificing our homes

  • Rezone Palisade Avenue (East to West) for vibrant mixed-use development.
  • Convert underused office/industrial zones—like South Van Brunt, South Dean, and Grand Avenue—into community-serving, economically revitalized spaces.
  • Focus all new development near major highways to reduce neighborhood traffic, flooding, and infrastructure strain.

OUR CITY. OUR VOICE. OUR FUTURE.
SHOW UP. SPEAK OUT. STAND TOGETHER.
