Englewood One Community Action

The Mayor and a Council majority bloc continue pushing to redevelop homes in the 3rd and 4th Wards to make way for apartment buildings. Never in recent memory has a Mayor and Council majority so blatantly ignored the will of thousands of residents. At the May 22 Council Meeting, Council President Wisotsky the apartment overlay zones are “aspirational,” revealing the City’s clear intent to overdevelop residential neighborhoods. Mayor Wildes confirmed that developers are already submitting applications. Make no mistake: apartments are being built—and more are coming—unless we stop it.
